Red Panda is such a disappointment. There is a dead cockroach on the floor and there are couple more flying insects hovering around the table.
This Xiao Long Bao is too dry for a soup dumpling. Typically the soup should be gushing from the dimsum when you pierce the wrapping. This one does not have even a single drop. The ginger dipping is also soaked in oil – too much oil that it defies the taste of the ginger. The color itself is already a hint that it appears overcooked which probably caused the soup to dry out. For Php 195.00 per five-piece, this is a very bad order.
Xiao Long Bao from Din Tai Fung is definitely a must try! They have a variety of Xiao Long Bao from seafood to vegan but nothing beats this classic Pork Xiao Long Bao.
Unlike other dimsums, Xiao Long Bao has broth inside and is eaten in a specific manner. Prepare the dipping sauce by adding one part of soy sauce and three parts of vinegar to the ginger dish. When the dipping sauce is ready, dip the dimsum lightly then place it in a spoon with some ginger. Pierce the dimsum to release the broth and let the dipping sauce, ginger and broth come together. Lastly, enjoy this spoonful of goodness!
For Php 315.00, you’ll get 10 pieces of this high quality Chinese dimsum.
